DEAR SUN SPOTS: Resist Central Maine L-A  will collect baby diapers and formula (Enfamil and Similac) during our Gathering for/with Gather To Grow collection drive Saturday, March 28, from noon to 2 p.m. during our No Kings III Rally at Longley Bridge in Lewiston.

The drive for Gather To Grow is part of our current mutual support project for this exemplary organization that serves all of us in L-A. To learn about RCM, visit www.resistcentralmaine.org. To learn about Gather To Grow, visit https://gathertogrowmaine.org/

Thank you, Ms. Sun Spots, for your commitment to our community. — No name, Auburn

ANSWER: My, oh my, Gather to Grow has been busy lately. What a cool organization with so much going on!

Did you know that baby diaper and formula drives are a thing? These commodities are necessary for so many young families and are expensive. Please contribute if you can. Churches, clothing closets, the United Way, food banks, and more will get these items to the people who need them. Never hesitate to contact your local nonprofits and ask, “What can I do for you?” You would be surprised how little time and energy it takes to make a difference in someone’s life.

The weather may be warming up, but that doesn’t make living outside any easier for our feral cat community. Help us support them by taking part in this fundraising event either by baking (please, no cupcakes), crafting, or even just buying some treats.

If interested in participating, please bring any treats or crafts packaged, labeled and priced for sale to Axis Natural Foods by 9:30 a.m. on Friday, April 3. — Rosanna, no town

ANSWER: I hope all Sun Spotters will participate in helping with this fundraiser. Tommy’s Feral Feline Friends, a no-kill shelter for feral cats, has been around a long time and supports feral cats with shelter, food, spaying and neutering, and medication.
