DEAR SUN SPOTS: Sometimes angels come in threes. I recently was in a predicament where I couldn’t use my new glasses as they were. They needed to be sent out at an additional cost of $360 which I couldn’t afford.
I felt stressed from the situation and, unfortunately, began to cry. As I was speaking to the employee, another customer who overheard the conversation came forward and put $100 toward the bill.
Then another employee came forward and paid $200 more toward the bill. The store discounted the remaining balance.
These acts of kindness, caring, and selflessness just blew my mind. I am forever grateful and promise to pay it forward someday. Angels are everywhere. They just look like people. May God bless these helpers with abundance. — Nancy, no town

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I was at our local Dollar Store recently and was standing in a rather long line. There was only one cashier working and she was waiting on two young women who were purchasing supplies for a children’s birthday party. They were speaking in a language that I didn’t recognize but I could tell they were very happy and excited until they realized they had to put some of the items back because they didn’t have quite enough to pay for everything. They were embarrassed and counted their dollars again.
As I waited to see what would happen, the couple behind them in line said a few quiet words to the cashier and they paid for the total amount of the purchase. My heart was so warmed by witnessing this level of kindness.
When I was driving home, I saw the two women walking in the cold wind and offered them a ride to their destination. The address they gave me was a familiar apartment building almost two miles away. I couldn’t understand much of what they said in the car but their gratitude was very sincere, with lots of smiling. It felt wonderful to be part of the celebration and to catch a glimpse of the little birthday girl when I dropped the ladies off at their door. I have thought of them often and keep them in my prayers. — No name, Lewiston
