ANSWER: I love that your church community is still holding this sale. It’s a good one — and a great excuse to come to one of my favorite Maine towns!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have multiple plaques and medals that my daughter won in high school that she isn’t interested in keeping. It seems a shame to throw them out, so I am wondering if there is any organization that can use them for something.—No name, Auburn

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Back a long time ago, I requested the words to the song, “Coeur de Maman” and got good results.

Now I need the words for, “La Vie en Rose” which is also one of my favorite songs.

Thank you so much for your column. I really enjoy it.— Muriel, Lewiston

ANSWER: You didn’t say if you wanted the words to Edith Piaf’s famous song in French or English (“Life in Rose”), but here it is in English, and if you want the French version, please write to me again.

“Hold me close and hold me fast/The magic spell you cast/
This is la vie en rose.

When you kiss me, heaven sighs/And though I close my eyes/I see la vie en rose.

When you press me to your heart/I’m in a world apart/A world where roses bloom/

And when you speak, angels sing from above/Everyday words seem to turn into love songs/Give your heart and soul to me/And life will always be/la vie en rose.

I thought that love was just a word/They sing about in songs I’ve heard/It took your kisses to reveal that I was wrong/And love is real.”

Then go back to the beginning and repeat!
