1. Spruce Mountain

The Phoenix reached the Class C South quarterfinals in last season and have depth to be one of the best teams in the Mountain Valley Conference again this season, though they will need to replace Jaziah Lavoie, who graduated. Matt Harding and Zen Wakefield-Dostie each went 8-3 last season and will look to carry the load for the Phoenix. Lucas Michaud went 7-4 playing doubles. Spruce Mountain coach Marc Keller is high on the six newcomers to the program.

2. Lewiston

The Blue Devils return their three singles players: sophomore Judah Paris, senior Caleb Paris and junior Lucas Boyd. Coach Matthew Anderson said Judah Paris should have more confidence in his second season as Lewiston’s No. 1 player after gaining state singles tournament experience. Caleb Paris is an invaluable leader, Anderson said, and Boyd played in many close matches last season. Ayub Bahad, a senior, is expected to play doubles and help the newcomers to the program get acclimated to high school tennis.

3. Edward Little

Calvin Vincent, a senior who went 10-2 in singles last season, returns as the team’s No. 1 player. Coach Greg Vincent said he likes the depth the Red Eddies built last season. Ryan Manson and Kadan Roussel Haider round out the remaining two singles spots to begin the season. The Eddies’ goal this spring is to return to the Class A North playoffs. They lost to top-seeded Camden Hills in the 2025 regional quarterfinals.
