LEWISTON — The Maine Music Society will perform new and traditional songs of the season, including Benjamin Britten’s most famous work, “A Ceremony of Carols,” at its “A Heritage Christmas” concert.

Featured will be the Androscoggin Chorale with artistic director John Corrie, piano accompanist Bridget Convey and harpist Danielle Langord.

Concerts will be on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 10-11, at the Franco-American Heritage Center and Saturday, Dec. 17 at the First Congregational Church in South Paris.

The chorale will perform “Ding Dong! Merrily on High,” “God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen,” “Be Thou My Vision,” “Deck the Hall,” “The Twelve Days of Christmas” and other holiday favorites.

Audience members will get to sing along to such songs as “Silent Night,” ‘O Come All Ye Faithful” and “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing.”

“I sincerely feel that the Christmas carol singalong always adds to everyone’s seasonal joy. It is so wonderful to hear everyone join together for this joyous occasion,” Corrie said.
