PORTLAND — Nancy Griffin, Maine writer and editor of the Gulf of Maine Times, has written her first children’s book, “I Love Maine,” which takes toddlers on a trip throughout the state.
Some popular sites mentioned in the book are Acadia National Park, the Cadillac Mountains, Mount Katahdin and the Portland Harbor. Other highlights include the Fryeburg Fair, Paul Bunyan and Babe, snowy winters and well-known beaches.
Nancy Griffin has been living in Maine for more than 30 years. A former wire service and newspaper reporter and editor, she is now a freelance writer for newspapers and magazines throughout Maine and across the country. She is the author of two best-selling books, “Maine 101” and “Making Whoopies – The Official Whoopie Pie Book.”
