FARMINGTON — A public forum to discuss violent crime in Franklin County is planned for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, at the University of Maine at Farmington’s Lincoln Auditorium in Roberts Learning Center.

After a murder last summer, several recent home invasions, alleged kidnappings and armed robberies, a panel will explore whether the recent crimes are a sign of a trend or just an unusual spike.

Franklin County assistant district attorneys James Andrews and Andrew Robinson, Farmington Police Chief Jack Peck, Maine State Police Detective Randall Keaten and psychiatrist Dr. Art Dingley will explore the issue and what people do to make things safer for Franklin County residents.

Other experts have been invited by forum host, DailyBulldog.com, to this community discussion, moderated by Farmington attorney Woody Hanstein.

Questions for the forum’s panel can be submitted in advance of the event via email to [email protected]
