LEWISTON — The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association will meet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, at the Ramada Inn.
A social half hour will be followed by lunch at noon. After the speaker, there will be a business meeting conducted by Richard St. Amand, president, with readings of reports by Leo Sirois, secretary, and Paul Ouellette, treasurer. Any old or new business will be discussed.
The guest speaker will be Daphne Russell, prevention and wellness coordinator for United Ambulance Service in Lewiston.
Russell has been working for United Ambulance Service since 2003. In 2010 she was appointed as the prevention and wellness coordinator for United. She has an associate’s degree in paramedicine and is a licensed Maine paramedic.
Her PowerPoint presentation will be about procedures and helpful information for calling 911 and other emergency situations/services. Discussion will include advice for first aid initiatives.
Plans for the meeting were formulated at a board meeting held on Feb. 28 at the Ramada Inn. Attending were Richard St. Amand, Jayne Bickford, Leo Sirois, Paul Ouellette and Martha Robinson.
