Mike Mynahan paints golf balls on his front lawn in Lewiston on Friday. A board member and participant in Central Maine Adaptive Sports, he was getting the balls ready for a golf shootout at Roy’s Driving Range in Auburn in June. Participants in the fundraiser will pay $10 for 10 balls to hit a ski pole 125 yards away. The 10 closest will move next door to Pine Acres Golf Course on Sunday, June 24, where each contestant will try to make a hole-in-one. The first to do it will win $250,000. If no hole-in-one is made, the closest gets $250; second place wins $150 and third, $100. The qualifying will take place June 22-24, but chances can be purchased anytime.
