In the April 28 article where Gov. Paul LePage called state workers “corrupt,” LePage stated he has control over appointed state workers, but has little authority over middle managers and other unionized state workers.
The governor is a very controlling person, to the extent of being an obsession. He shows his frustration in that article by stating that he has little authority in certain areas.
The governor’s spokeswoman stated that the governor chose the word “corrupt” because the definition is “a lack of integrity.”
However, she somehow forgot to mention some of the other definitions, such as: to destroy, immoral, perverse, depraved, dishonest and venal. She must get dizzy trying to spin what the governor says and what he meant when there is no difference.
If the governor could create jobs as fast as he alienates people, wouldn’t that be great?
By the way — where are all those jobs that were going to be forthcoming under his administration?
