NORWAY – June 3 will be the date of the first SMH Run for Wellness 5K road race that is open to Stephens Memorial Hospital employees and the community. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m. and the race at 9 will start and finish in front of the Ripley Medical Office Building, 193 Main St.

The entry fee is $15 per person prior to race day. Race day registration will be $20. There will be a $50 New Balance gift certificate for the top male and top female finishers.

A Kids Fun Run will be held prior to the 5K. Kids ages 14 and under are invited to participate at no cost. Everyone is a winner in the Kids Fun Run and the purpose of the race is to get out and get active. The Fun Run is approximately one mile and will begin at 8 a.m., with race day registration only.

The events are open to all walkers and runners, whether experienced competitors or first-time racers.
