St. Dom’s 17, Oak Hill 5
LEWISTON —  Troy Haefele netted four goals and added six assists to lead St. Dom’s to a 17-5 rout over Oak Hill in KVAC lacrosse action Thursday.

Anthony Fagone chipped in for the undefeated Saints (7-0) with three goals, while Nick Hatfield and Chris Finlay each added two. Single tallies by Pablo Lopez Pinardo, Will Desmarais, Dalton Lorenz, Matt Chasse and Kenton Ernst completed the scoring.

Brian Daniels led the Raiders (4-3) with two goals. Caleb Provost, John Averill and Kyle Flaherty also tallied.

Cody Rodrigue and Ben Sawyer split time in goal for St. Dom’s and made four saves apiece. Matt Martin turned aside 13 shots in the cage for Oak Hill.

Softball

Spruce Mountain 6, St. Dom’s 2

AUBURN — Paula Despres’ double triggered a four-run sixth inning Thursday for Spruce Mountain, sparking a 6-2 MVC softball win over St. Dom’s.

Spruce Mountain (6-3) added two singles in the inning against Sam Ladd. That uprising broke a 2-2 tie.

Despres also went the distance in the circle for the Phoenix, allowing five hits. The Saints (2-6) scored single runs in the first and fifth innings to keep it close.
