LIVERMORE FALLS – A Livermore man was arrested early Saturday after police say he pulled into a Knapp Street driveway and became confrontational to an officer investigating a different complaint.
Joseph Begin, 34, of Livermore was charged with disorderly conduct, obstructing government administration and refusing to submit to arrest or physical detention by using physical force, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said Monday.
The chief said Lt. Thomas Gould and officer Adam Sage responded to a report of a possible intoxicated individual driving a Chevrolet Blazer at about 1:20 a.m. While police were attempting to investigate the report, Begin pulled into the driveway, confronting and threatening Gould.
The person reported to be driving while intoxicated had reached a relative’s house and was given a warning to stay there and not drive, Steward said.
Jay police assisted Livermore Falls police at the scene.
