FARMINGTON – A local man faces a misdemeanor charge of furnishing a place for minors to consume alcohol after police responded to calls of a possible fight and loud party, police secretary Rachel Heseltine said Monday.
The complaints, which also included drainage grates being taken and a window being broken, came in at about 1:45 a.m. Saturday.
Farmington police Sgt. Edward Hastings IV issued a summons on the charge to Joel Daley, 20, of Farmington whose apartment at 291 High St., police responded to, police secretary Rachel Heseltine said.
He told police he came home from work and people were already at his apartment, she said, according to the police report. He also told police he knew the men were not 21 years old, she said.
Hastings also issued summonses for a civil violation of illegal possession of minors to six men.
Hastings observed four men walking down High Street on his way to the apartment. He stopped and spoke to them and they all appeared intoxicated, Heseltine said.
They stated they were drinking at the High Street, according to Hastings’ report.
The six men cited on the civil violation were Patrick Doe, 20, Windsor, Kenneth Strout, 20, China, Stephen Barrows, 20, Vassalboro, Brandon Allen, 20, Vassalboro, Matthew Atwood, 19, Waterville, and Nicholas Kenoyer, 20, Windsor.
