BANGOR — Michael R. Pelkey, 52, a resident of Hampden, died Monday, June 25, at St. Joseph Hospital, following a long illness.

He was born July 21, 1959, in Lewiston, the son of Clarence and Marian Jeannette (Abbott) Pelkey.

He attended school at Leavitt Area High School in Turner. He worked odd jobs throughout his lifetime.

He is survived by his mother, Marian Jeannette Latham of Leeds; his sister, Patricia Harris and her husband, Roger, of North Monmouth; his brother, Donald Pelkey and his wife, Esther, of California; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father, Clarence Pelkey in 1968.
