CLEARWATER, Fla. — Authorities in Florida are continuing their investigation into the death of a former Greene woman, whose body was discovered early Saturday morning by her roommate.
Adrianne Robert, 29, who grew up in Greene and worked as a page designer at the Sun Journal from May 2004 to March 2007, was found dead Saturday morning by her roommate, Jay Leffue, at 3:30 a.m. in their Clearwater apartment.
Marianne Pasha, public information coordinator for the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, declined to release new details about the investigation, including a cause of death.
She said homicide detectives and forensic experts have worked on the case nonstop since they were called to the scene after the initial notification Saturday morning.
Pasha said paramedics and patrol officers were the first to arrive on scene, but soon called in the detectives. She added that some officers have worked without sleep on the case, which is still listed as a death investigation.
Robert’s death is officially classified as a death investigation, according to Pasha. She added that police are still in the process of putting the pieces of information together.
