RANGELEY — Gary Westerhoff will make a slide show presentation and lead a discussion from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at the Barn of the Congregational Church, 2 High St. The presentation is sponsored by The Westerhoff Family Foundation and The Rangeley Friends of the Arts. Admission is free; donations to RFA will be accepted. The presentation is titled “American Wildlife Up Close.”

Over more than four decades, Westerhoff has developed a passion for outdoor adventures that began with fly fishing for brook trout in the Rangeley area. This grew into a love for combining trout fishing with landscape and wildlife nature photography across America, Canada, Central America and South America. His wildlife images, featured in this presentation, catch the individual characteristics of the animals and their relation to the environment in which they live, often portraying the habits and family life of the animals.

Westerhoff has been a long time summer resident of Rangeley and presently owns a home on Rangeley Lake.

A number of Gary’s images and books may be viewed on his website at www.westerhoffnaturephotography.com.
