AUBURN — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Sharon R. Lowell was celebrated by close family friend, the Rev. Paul Gousse Monday at Sacred Heart Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish. At the entrance of church, Sharon’s husband, Terry Lowell and Sharon’s daughter, Jennifer Gary, draped Sharon’s casket with a white burial pall signifying Sharon’s Baptism into a new spiritual life with God. During Mass, the first reading was read by Sharon’s son, Justin Lambert and the second reading was read by Sharon’s daughter-in-law, Victoria. The prayer of the faithful written by Sharon’s grandchildren was recited by Jennifer Gary. The offertory gifts were brought to the altar by all of Sharon’s grandchildren. At the conclusion of Mass, Jennifer Gary shared words of remembrance about her mother and how special she was to her family and to all who knew her. Following a procession to St. Peter’s Cemetery the Rev. Robert Lupo recited committal prayers at the interment. The pallbearers were Justin and Christopher Lambert, Larry Poulin, Dominick Iannotti, Cullen Acheson and Keith Gary. At the conclusion of services, all in attendance were invited to a reception of fellowship at Terry and Sharon’s home in Auburn. Arrangements by Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home, Lewiston.
