Outlook: Despite being kept out of the win column, the Saints missed the playoffs by only a fraction of a Heal point in 2011. With a 2-1 win over perennial MVC power Telstar in its first scrimmage, St. Dom’s appears to have turned the corner. Greco and Eastman should provide the scoring punch that has been missing in recent seasons. Cortolino, although in her first year as a varsity goaltender, has looked sharp. The Saints will play most of their home games in the second half of the season, a quirk that should bode well for their postseason push.
