The Auburn Public Library will host the Chewonki Foundation’s Traveling Natural History program Owls of Maine at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, in the Androscoggin Community Room. Learn all about the barred owl, screech owl and the great horned owl, all native to Maine and New England. The program will have live owls for children to see. The program is best for children in kindergarten and older and their families. The program is free, but space is limited so call the library at 333-6640, ext. 3, to register. Chewonki educator Chris Coleman is pictured introducing a family to a saw-whet owl.
