JAY — Police are investigating the theft of copper pipes from a Bridge Street apartment building.

A landlord discovered the theft Wednesday morning, Sgt. Troy Young said. Two of the apartments and the basement had been stripped of copper, he said.

Evidence was collected at the scene.

Young said he has some leads he is following in the ongoing investigation.
