FARMINGTON — Adult and Community Education classes for Mt. Blue School District are beginning this week with courses that include several levels of French, square dancing and certificate classes.

New this year are offerings for real estate agents dealing with how forestry laws and practices can affect clients, contra dancing and other dances.

College transitions continues to support folks looking to get back into the swing of taking college classes or applying to a degree program after being away from the rigors of studying.

The access to several technology related classes has increased through an effort by Mike Burd, as well as, online classes offered through ED2Go, which can be accessed by emailing lizadonald8@gmail.com.

Fall catalogs of courses have been mailed out.

Two class offerings were inadvertently omitted from the catalog. The first is a class in drawing, which is normally offered every season through Joyce Dubay. Drawing is offered Tuesdays starting Sept. 25 at MBMS in the art room at 6:30 p.m.

The second class is a new venture by Bob Cordes from the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. It is on establishing a deer plot, which is a project developed by a group in the Rangeley area.

Contact ACE at 778-3460 for more information and registering for enrichment, vocational and certificate courses. ACE is always open to suggestions for future class offerings.
