If Barack Obama is re-elected, it will in large part be due to the media bias favoring his administration. The major TV networks and printed media seldom report news that would show the failings of his administration.

As a newspaper, if the Sun Journal gets a news article from the Associated Press, the headline and tone of the article will not be critical of the administration. Or the headline will be too positive in favor of the administration.

For example, a headline Sept 28: “Nations hopeful of Iran nuke talks.” I don’t know anyone who would expect a good outcome from such talks. Further, within the article is the statement that “All such talks have failed before,” and “ … no date was set for the possible resumption of … talks.” Does that sound hopeful?

I haven’t seen any newspaper coverage of Ambassador Christopher Stevens’ journal being found by CNN containing notations of the ambassador’s concerns for his own security. Nor have I seen any coverage that President Obama skips morning security briefings on a regular basis. One has to watch FOX News Channel to learn of that.

Mitt Romney’s 47 percent remark gets all kinds of coverage. The failure of the State Department to act on warning signals in advance of the Benghazi attack gets none.

The Sun Journal does run commentary by editorial conservatives such as Cal Thomas, but that does not make up for the large absence of news coverage that may be construed as detrimental to the Obama administration.
