LISBON — Chelsea Huston recorded the game-winning goal as Lisbon bumped Monmouth 3-2 in MVC girls’ soccer action Saturday.
The Greyhounds (11-0-1) finished with a 16-10 shot advantage, with goalie Courtney Martel turning aside two shots in the win.
Kylie Kemp and Danielle Bumann scored one goal each for the Mustangs (10-2).
Kayla Angelico and Shantal MacWhinnie provided Lisbon with one goal apiece.
Boys’ soccer
St. Dom’s 5, Mountain. Valley 0
RUMFORD — Senior midfielder Jordan Charest scored the first goal 15 minutes into the game for the only tally St. Dom’s needed in a 5-0 victory over Mountain Valley in MVC boys’ soccer action Saturday.
The Saints (12-0-1) took a 3-0 lead at halftime on a slick and muddy field as the ball bounced everywhere.
Goalie Ben Sawyer made three saves for St. Dom’s in the winning effort.
Greenville 5, Buckfield 0
GREENVILLE — Henry Hersey scored a pair of goals as Greenville waltzed past Buckfield with a 5-0 win in a boys’ soccer game Saturday.
Tristan Richards, Cody Watson and Matt Diangelo each scored for Greenville.
Greenville held a 1-0 lead in the first half and then erupted with four goals in the second half.
Football
Pingree 54, Hebron 34
LEEDS — Hebron Academy stayed neck-and-neck with Pingree before Pingree piled up 40 points in the second half to beat the Lumberjacks, 54-34, in a football game Saturday.
Hebron (0-3) held a 20-14 advantage by halftime, but fell apart in the second half, scoring only seven points in the third quarter.
Hebron’s Shaq Cezont-Holmes scored two touchdowns on 62- and 85-yard runs in the first half.
Jeff Turcotte scored on an 86-yard touchdown pass from Cezont-Holmes.
John Spears scored two touchdowns for Pingree (2-1).
