TOGUS — Paul E. Cote, 65, of Lewiston, passed away Oct. 17, at Togus.

He was born on April 3, 1947, in Lewiston, the son of Omer and Florence (Dennison) Cote.

Paul was a disabled Vietnam Veteran and was a machinist by trade.  He served as a crew chief on a helicopter in the 282nd Assault Helicopter Company and was part owner of J.C. Plastics and C & C Seafood. He enjoyed playing cards, gambling, antique cars and camping at the Birches Family Campground. Paul was a Mason and was also a member of the Eagles 618 and the VFW.

He is survived by his wife of almost 25 years, Merilda; son, David of Lewiston; stepson, Marc and fiance,Victoria of Auburn; stepdaughters, Donnella and fiance, Daina of Wales, Monica and fiance, Louis of Tampa, Fla.; his red-headed stepchild, Kathy of Lewiston; 17 grandchildren; and two-and-a-half great-grandchildren; two cousins, Gerard Dennison of Auburn and
Richard Turgeon of Lewiston; and many, many close friends.

Paul was predeceased by both his parents.
