Qualified high school students are being offered the opportunity to spend an academic year, three-month program or summer holiday in Europe, Asia, North and South American, New Zealand, Australia or South Africa as part of the ASSE International Student Exchange Program.

Students, 15 to 18 years of age, qualify on the basis of academic performance, character references and a genuine desire to experience abroad with a volunteer host family.

Summer exchange students live with a family abroad who might speak some English. One-year and three-month program students need not have learned a foreign language as they receive language and cultural instruction as part of the ASSE program.

Students attend regular high school classes along with their new teenage friends.

American families can also host students from Europe, the Republics of the former Soviet Union (in the U.S.A.), South America, Asia, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. These students are 15 to 18 years old and will attend the local high school for a semester or an academic year.
