LEWISTON — Clinton P. Noonan, 87, of Lewiston, died Sunday, Dec. 2, at Marshwood Rehabilitation Center, following a long illness.

Clinton was born Jan. 24, 1925, in East Hartford, Conn., the son of Daniel and Ruth Pullon Noonan. He married Charlotte Cummings Sherlock, Aug. 14, 1977.

He received great joy from mowing lawns and doing yard work, which he continued to do until a month before his death. A generous man, Clinton was quick to offer help to family, friends and strangers. He loved his cat, Pretty Cat.

He is survived by his sister, Florence Blouin; a stepson, Steve Sherlock; a stepdaughter, Laura Sherlock Morin; a granddaughter, Logan Morin, all of Lewiston; his brother-in-law, Richard Cummings of Augusta; and nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; his sons, Robert and Thomas; and his wife, Charlotte, Jan. 22, 2011.

At the request of the deceased, there are no funeral services.
