POLAND — Cheering, dance, soccer, track, senior trips and Santa Comes to Poland are some of the many programs under the auspices of the Poland Recreation Department. Scott Segal, recreation director of Poland since 2003, will speak about some of these offerings in his presentation, “Making a Difference in Our Community: Poland’s Recreation Program,” on Sunday, Jan. 13. He will be the featured speaker at the January Person to Person, to be held in the Community Room of the Ricker Memorial Library, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
Person to Person Potluck/Program is a monthly gathering sponsored by Friends of Ricker Library. It is designed for friends and neighbors as a time to get together for conversation over a meal and a discussion of local issues. Guests are asked to bring a casserole, salad or dessert for the potluck meal. Since January is municipal planning time, it is timely to learn about this important town program. Everyone is invited.
