OLD TOWN – The Animal Orphanage has issued a public appeal on its need for a new SUV.
The shelter’s old SUV, which is well past the end of its useful lifetime, has broken down – this time beyond repair. As a result, the Animal Orphanage needs another SUV, in good running condition, to transport its orphaned animals to and from the animal hospital – a crucial part of what the shelter does on a daily basis in order to provide the care needed for its helpless creatures.
The Animal Orphanage is hoping that someone out there may have a vehicle they would be willing to donate or that it can raise enough money to purchase one. Anyone who can help out is asked to call 827-8777.
