Soil & Water board meeting
FARMINGTON — The monthly board meeting of the Franklin County Soil & Water Conservation District will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at the USDA Service Center on Park Street.
The meeting is open to the public. A copy of the agenda can be picked up at the office between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
UMF fraternity blood drive
FARMINGTON — Alpha Phi Omega at the University of Maine at Farmington will host a blood drive from noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, and Thursday, Feb. 7, in the Student Center.
People can make appointments online at redcross.org. Walk-ins will also be accepted.
APO is a co-ed service fraternity that focuses on community service in all different aspects.
SMMS grade 8 inside yard sale
JAY — The annual Grade 8 Inside Yard Sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Spruce Mountain Middle School cafeteria.
Community lunch Feb. 9
LIVERMORE FALLS — A free community lunch will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. the second Saturday of each month from Jan. 12 through May 11 at the American Legion Hall, 17 Reynolds Ave.
The meal includes entrees, sides and desserts. All ages are welcome. The lunch is hosted by Emmanuel Assembly of God in Livermore Falls. For transportation, call 471-3708.
Valentine dinner is Feb. 9
RANGELEY — A Valentine dinner will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at Church of the Good Shepherd, 2614 Main St.
The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children under 13. Menu is pork roast, mashed potato with gravy, green beans, homemade biscuits, cherry cheese squares and coffee, tea, milk or fruit punch. Take outs welcome.
