RANGELEY — In a reversal of its decision at the March 26 meeting, the Rangeley School Board voted 9-1 Tuesday to eliminate the combined position of assistant principal and athletic director. Two board members were absent.
Tuesday’s vote was called when it was learned that counting abstentions in the earlier vote is contrary to Robert’s Rules of Order.
Funds remain in the budget for an athletic director, possibly as a stipend position. The decision on the athletic director position will be up to the new superintendent, Susan Pratt, who will take office July 1.
