Cemetery association to elect officers
BOWDOIN — The annual meeting of the West Bowdoin Cemetery Association will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, at the West Bowdoin Baptist Church, 54 West Road, next to the cemetery.
Topics to be discussed include election of officers and trustees, new business and ongoing business.

Rebekahs to note Friendship Night
AUBURN — Liberty Rebekah Lodge 94 will observe Friendship Night with Brothers of Odd Fellows Lodges and Rebekah Lodges invited for Monday, May 6, at the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs Home, 85 Caron Lane.
The evening will begin with sandwiches, salads and desserts at 6 p.m. in the recreation room. A program will follow preceding the meeting at 7 in the lodge room. Both are on the lower level, which is handicapped accessible. Guests will be asked to participate, if they wish, with a joke or reading.
Noble Grand Mercena Abrams has declared the session a social meeting so guests who are not Rebekahs may attend. A response will be appreciated. Contact Esther Tucker at 998-5359.
Following a proclamation made by the Sovereign Grand Master of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows for all Odd Fellows and Rebekahs worldwide to observe Make a Difference Day on April 27, Liberty Lodge chose to make personal visits and presented each of the 62 home residents with a handcrafted note card. Pam Black and Esther Tucker did the visiting.
Seniors meetings are announced
AUBURN — The New Auburn Seniors will meet every Wednesday at St. Louis Church until further notice.
Meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month. Bingo is held the second and fourth Wednesday. Meals are the third Wednesday. Entrance is on the Third Street side.
Legion to hold Texas hold’em tournament
MECHANIC FALLS — The Mechanic Falls American Legion will hold a Texas hold’em tournament at 6 p.m. Friday, May 3. Buy-in is $35.
Friends of Cumston holding May Faire
MONMOUTH — Friends of Cumston Library’s May Faire will take place on Saturday, May 18, and members are seeking perennials from local gardens.

Cary book sale, spring boutique
WAYNE — Cary Library will hold a book sale and spring boutique from 9 a.m. to noon on the first Saturday of every month, beginning May 4, at the Williams House, 14 Old Winthrop Road, across the street from the library. Proceeds will benefit the Williams House, a property of the Cary Library.
Coffee, tea and breakfast breads will be for sale.
The Wayne Conservation Commission will be present to talk about the natural history of Wayne and the “Wayne Naturally” map display on exhibit. The library offers Wi-Fi.
Building healthy families session topic
LEWISTON — “Creating Healthy and Happy Families” will be offered at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 6, at the Ark, 791 Lisbon St.
Discussion will cover topics such as building a family structure based on love, communicating with kids, creative conflict resolution, encouraging personal choices and responsibility and healthy lifestyle choices.
Instructor Kimberly Mazone is a certified teacher who has worked with children and families in the classroom and as an educational consultant. She has also had training as a certified fitness trainer, a doula and natural childbirth educator and is studying nutrition and natural healing.

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League winners at the Lewiston Memorial Armory on April 25 were: first, Bob Allen and Ike LeCompte; second, Arline Laplante and Henry Maheux; third, Lorraine Fillion and Ed Hinkley; fourth, Roger Labbe, two player table; fifth, Ron Jean and Steve Agurkis.
