AUBURN — Tammy E. Violette, 54, has entered Heaven’s gates on Wednesday, April 24.

She was born Dec. 5, 1958, to parents Donald L. Wilbur and Florence B. (McArthur). She was raised in Sabattus and attended Sabattus Elementary and Monmouth Academy.

Tammy was a loving mother and homemaker who also spent a time as a CNA. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, music and being with family and friends, among other activities. She spent a great deal of time with her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She touched the lives of many.

Survivors include her significant other of 18 years, Rodney Cormier; her three daughters, Melissa “Missy” Pearce of Florida, Amanda “Amie” Bixby and husband, James, of New Gloucester, and Angela “Angie” Wright and husband, Keith, of Auburn; her sisters, Janet Anderson of California, and Donna Burgess and her husband, Leonard, of Florida; her brothers, Wayne “Cap” Thornton of Chelsea; Donald Wilbur Jr. of Lewiston, and Bruce Wilbur and his wife, Dot, of Sabattus; eight grandchildren; many cousins, nieces and nephews; and her loving pet companion and best friend of 11 years, Zena.

She was predeceased by her parents, Donald L. Wilbur and Florence B. (McArthur).

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at the Androscoggin Hospice House for taking good care of their mother.
