AUBURN — Auburn Parks and Recreation and the Auburn Exchange Club will hold Auburn’s Youth Fishing Derby from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 4, for ages 9 to 15 and Saturday, May 11, for ages 3 to 8 at Pettengill Pond.
The pond will be stocked with more than 400 brook trout ranging from 6 to 12 inches long.
There will be three age divisions each day.
Anglers are limited to one line in the water and four fish caught. Only worms or artificial bait may be used.
Trophies will be awarded for largest fish, greatest total weight, greatest total length as well as the first fish caught each day.
Cost is $5 to be paid the day of the derby. It will be held rain or shine.
