1968 – 2013

LEWISTON — Parrish T. Renaud, 44, of Lewiston, died Friday, May 17, at Central Maine Medical Center with his family by his side.

Born in Lewiston Oct. 28, 1968, a son of Normand and Suzanne Bissonnette Renaud, he graduated from St. Dominic High School, Class of 1987.

Parrish devoted most of his working life with Estes Trucking Co. as a sales representative developing the state of Maine region. His loyalty and hard work to Estes was exemplary.

His passion for all genres of music brought him to Hallowell and its vibrant and eclectic music scene. He applauded and promoted musicians and bands from Hallowell and in every venue in Maine. He chaired the Ian Parker Foundation, organized to provide assistance and education for contemporary musicians. Music was vital to every facet of his life.

All who knew him or met him were struck by his presence in the room. He was all about others. His care and concern for them was endless. Parrish was there to help unconditionally, clearing brush, moving into a new house or supporting someone during an illness.

When Parrish said, “How are you?”, he expected you to share yourself. Parrish was sensitive and generous. He was also passionate about politics and accepting of everyone’s point of view. His love of animals was a measure of his character.

Parrish is survived by his parents, Normand and Suzanne Renaud of Lewiston; his sister, Gabrielle Renaud Hungate and husband, Ryan, of Tucson, Ariz.; his very special high school sweetheart and soul mate, Celeste Morin and her children, Sarah and Adam; his grandparents, Venise and Charles Morin of Lewiston; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
