MECHANIC FALLS — Tom Schultz of the Mechanic Falls Sanitary District retired June 28 after 32 years of service. He was in the field of waste water treatment for a total of 42 years, first in Illinois, then in Maine.

A decorated Vietnam War veteran, Schultz now plans to spend time with family and friends. He will be succeeded by Nick Konstantoulakis.
