Calvary’s journey of exploration

LEWISTON — Calvary United Methodist will hold its second week of their journey of exploration at the 10:30 a.m. service Sunday, July 14, at 59 Sabattus St.

July’s upcoming services will incorporate the church’s journey with Pastor Casey Collins’ sabbatical journeys. She returns in August.

Summer visitors and those who want to explore the United Methodist’s inclusive faith are welcome. Child care is available at all services. For more information, call 782-3221.

Program on shamanism

HARTFORD — A four-hour program, “Shamanism – A Spiritual Tool,” will be presented beginning at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, July 21, at the Hartford Town Hall, 1190 Main St.

There is a suggested donation of $40 and a potluck lunch will be available following Pinpoint of Light’s regular Sunday service.

Facilitators are Rev Graham Connolly, NST, certified medium, commissioned healer, Reiki master and shamanic practitioner; and Sue Jalbert, commissioned healer, Reiki II practitioner, IET Advanced Level. For facilitator information visit www.tarrassaholistics.com.

Explore the world of shamanism and its origins, learn about power animals/totems, the realms of Spirit, the symbolism of animals and experience the journey process. It is an experiential workshop. Time permitting an introduction to shamanic healing techniques and available resources will be discussed.

Bring blindfold or bandanna, journal, blanket and something to lay on.
