Royal Arcanum Chapter 52, based in Lewiston, has shown its support for the Twin Cities’ newly formed community folk orchestra by making a donation to its operating fund. A check for $200 was presented to the musical ensemble at a recent concert for residents at Schooner Estates Retirement Community in Auburn, which provides rehearsal space for the orchestra. The multi-age musical ensemble is a program of the Maine Folque Co-op. From left are John Rice, director of operations at Schooner Estates; orchestra director Doug Protsik; orchestra members Victor So and Don Cunningham; and Dolores Poirier, regent of Royal Arcanum Chapter 52.
