LEWISTON — Roe Charlie Toothaker, 87, of Sabattus, died on Tuesday, Sept. 3, at Marshwood Nursing Home.

He was born on Nov. 20, 1925, to parents Lois Nile Toothaker and Coe Toothaker. Roe was employed as a game warden and high school teacher.

Roe is survived by his wife of 65 years, Sarah Toothaker; three children, Cynthia Black and husband, Les, Gregory Toothaker and wife, Nancy, and Lynn Springer and husband, Craig; six grandsons; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents, Lois and Coe Toothaker; three sisters, Glana Rodgerson, Hilda Spencer and Gwen Woodside; and his twin brother, Coe Toothaker.
