Why is our president so eager to attack Syria when, as a senator, he opposed President Bush with loud and clear disdain.
President Bush presented a clear line to Congress only after the United Nations voted on sanctions against Iraq.
Prove to me chemical weapons have been used in Syria. Then and only then we should build a coalition of forces, remove the chemical weapons or destroy them with boots on the ground, and then leave as soon as the chemical weapons are destroyed. It would be a very limited action.
This should be our elected officials’ outlook, not decisions made along party lines.
We do this wrong and we could be looking at a world war with millions dead or wounded. This one has to be right, without the political grandstanding.
