LEWISTON — Healthy Androscoggin and Tri-County Mental Health Services have joined with Team Red, White and Blue for Make A Difference Day for Maine’s National Guard 133rd Engineering Battalion Unit deployed to Afghanistan.
Team Red, White and Blue is a national veterans’ organization that promotes physical activities, social events and community service to enrich the lives of veterans and to transition back into civilian life by bringing together veterans and civilians from all walks of life to help one another.
Healthy Androscoggin, Tri-County Mental Health Services and TRWB are collecting items for care packages to be sent out on Saturday, Nov. 2.
Tri-County MHS is acting as one drop-off point. Those wishing may take items to Jerry DeWitt’s office, 1155 Lisbon St. Healthy Androscoggin is accepting donations in its office at the back of the YWCA, lower parking lot behind the tent, 130 East Ave. Call Healthy Androscoggin for details at 795-5990.

Drop-off dates are through Oct. 31 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Friday, Nov. 1, those wishing may do a drive-by drop-off between 7:45 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the YWCA lower parking lot.
