Elks plan hunter’s breakfast

RUMFORD — A hunter’s breakfast will take place from 4:30 to 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Elk’s Lodge dining room.

Menu consists of home-baked beans, ham, scrambled eggs, home fries, pancakes, biscuits, toast, juice, tea and coffee. Cost is $7.

Halloween parade is Oct. 27

RUMFORD — The annual Halloween parade for children birth to fifth grade will take place at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, starting at Franklin Savings Bank, 155 Congress St.

Costume judging will follow at the Greater Rumford Community Center.

Prizes will be given for the top three winners in each age group.

Bethel Seniors meet Nov. 13

BETHEL — The Bethel Senior Citizens Club will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the Locke Mills Legion Hall, Gore Road.

Cost for dinner is $12.

Knights plan turkey supper

RUMFORD — The Knights of Columbus will host a roast turkey supper at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Parish of the Holy Savior. Cost for adults is $8, children $4. Take out will be available.

Hunter’s breakfast, Diva Day

DIXFIELD — Auxiliary Unit 100 will hold a hunter’s breakfast from 4 to 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at American Legion, 18 River Lane. Cost is $5.

A Diva Day will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. with all the party plans under one roof. The kitchen will be open and there will be a bake table.

Christmas at the Green Fair

MEXICO — The annual Christmas at the Green Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Mexico Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, (the “Green Church”), 163 Main St.

The fair will feature fresh-pressed cider, attic treasures, handmade crafts, raffles and a bake sale. RADA cutlery will also be on sale.

Raffles include a cash prize and 50/50, a woolen hand-braided rug, a food basket and many items in a Chinese auction. The bake sale will have a cookie walk and a wheel of cheddar cheese, which will be cut and sold by weight.

Coffee and muffins will be served in the morning and a luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
