Franklin County Retired Educators held a silent auction at a recent meeting to raise money for the Grant in Aid to local schools. The 28 attendees bid on a variety of items, including food, gifts, plants and crafts donated by members. A total of $271.75 was raised and will be given to a qualified staff applicant from the Mt. Blue Regional School District. Applications are available in each school’s office. Doris Tripp looks over the auction items.
