DIXFIELD — Douglas and Donna Gilbert of Dixfield are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Deidre Gilbert of Rumford, to Patrick Mooney of Rumford, son of John and Deborah Mooney of Peru.
Miss Gilbert is a 2006 graduate of Dirigo High School and is taking classes at the University of Maine at Augusta, studying special education. She is employed at Dirigo Elementary School in Peru.
Mr. Mooney is a 2004 graduate of Mountain Valley High School and a 2009 graduate of the University of Southern Maine with a bachelor’s degree in history. He is employed at Dirigo High School in Dixfield.
The wedding is planned for June 7 in Rumford.
