RUMFORD — Nicola Weatherbee-Capen, owner of River Valley Counseling in Rumford, announces that licensed alcohol and drug counselor Kim Valle has joined her staff.

Valle has worked in residential substance abuse treatment for teenagers and has recently worked under a federal grant to provide substance abuse treatment services at Lewiston High School and Middle School. Since joining RVC, she is taking individual clients and has become the facilitator for an intensive outpatient treatment program.

Weatherbee-Capen, Valle, and counselor Jennifer Flynn have just completed a graduate program in community mental health counseling, each earning a master of science degree from Southern New Hampshire University. All three anticipate becoming licensed clinical professional counselors in the near future.

River Valley Counseling at 28 Congress St. provides DEEP evaluation and treatment, IOP, individual, group and family counseling for adults, adolescents and children.
