1917 – 2013
AUBURN — Roland Dyment, of Poland, 96 years young, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 3, at the Hospice House with his family by his side.
He was born in Concord N.H.
Roland was a World War II veteran Seabees 93rd battalion stationed in the Phillipines. He was a life long member of the VFW of Essex, Mass., and a carpenter. He resided in Gloucester, Mass., from 1934 until 2005 when he moved to Maine.
He lived a full life, was an avid reader and enjoyed his computer solitaire.
He is survived by his sister, Marion Clattenburg; his brother, Harold Dyment of Laconia N.H.; his daughters, Jill Libby of Poland, Mickey Adams of Sanford and Karen Moore of Bridgeton; his stepdaughters of Gloucester, Mass., Jackie Bennett, Kathy Brown, Susan Bennett; his grandchildren, Triston and Justin Libby, Adam and Andrea Clark of Maine. Rory Kaine, Brady Kain, Colby and Joseph Brown, also of Gloucester, Mass.; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife of 28 years, Barbara Dyment.
