BRUNSWICK — Spectrum Generations, along with Brunswick Area Respite Care and Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice (a Community Care Team provider for the Maine Patient Centered Medical Homes Pilot Program), announce Savvy Caregiver 1 training scheduled this winter.

This training will help those caring for a family member with dementia learn how to take care of themselves, reduce stress and communicate more easily with the loved one. This is a six-week workshop, with each session lasting two hours.

This class is free but pre-registration is required.

It will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Jan. 8 through Feb. 19, at Brunswick Methodist Church, 320 Church Road. That schedule includes one built-in snow day.
