Daughters of Isabella Circle 677, St. Rose of Lima Church, Jay, held a Christmas party on Dec. 4 at the Frank L. Mitchell VFW Hall. The evening began at 4 p.m. with Elaine Castonguay, Laurieann Castonguay and Maryette Castonguay preparing for the event. Elaine sold tickets for the door prizes and Kim Couture put a Christmas carol book at each place setting. Diane Maurais checked the gifts and Couture helped with passing out the new monthly social paper. The meal was served and after that, members sang Christmas carols, with Louise Parker at her karaoke machine. Gifts were opened and the evening ended around 8 p.m. Judy Pottle, Laurie Gagnepain, Rita Castonguay, Irene Castonguay, Louise Buzzell, Karen Daniels, Annette Melanson, Denise Soucy and Maryette Castonguay are pictured singing carols.
