LEWISTON — Memorial services honoring the life of Roy W. Picard were held Saturday afternoon at the Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Cousineau officiating. Soloist Randy Corey from East Auburn Baptist Church sang the “Twenty-Third Psalm” and “Amazing Grace” during the service. Diane Palmer Care coordinator at East Auburn Baptist Church recited words of remembrance written by Roy’s daughter Aimee Picard Gibbs. Roy’s son William, who was born with cerebral palsy, shared in his own words what his parents loving support has meant to him which has allowed him to enjoy an independent life of which he is so grateful for his Dad’s determination to make it so. Also sharing words of remembrance were extended family members and very close friends of Roy and Charlene, Carol Mattison and John Bouchard.
At the conclusion of services all in attendance were invited to the Pelletier Banquet Facility at CJ Hall in Lewiston. A graveside service will take place later in the summer in the Picard family lot in North Turner Cemetery. Arrangements by Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home, Lewiston.
