BRUNSWICK — Area artists are invited to participate in the 2014 Five Rivers Arts Alliance ArtWalk, which is held on the second Friday, May through October. Applications are being accepted until Friday, March 7, for participation in the ArtWalks, which also requires 5RAA membership.
Applications for membership and for participation in the 5RAA ArtWalk are provided at www.5raa.org/2014-artwalk- application/.
“Second Friday ArtWalk gives me the opportunity to connect in a real and meaningful way with the Brunswick community. It is one of the many wonderful things about living in this town, and it makes me feel good to be part of something so positive and enriching,” said Maria Castellano-Usery, a member of FRAA.
Judith Long, of Points of View Artists said, “The ArtWalk generates excitement in the community that attracts both a wide variety of artists and art appreciators. Points of View Artists especially appreciate the monthly structure that the ArtWalk provides; it gives us an outlet for our artistic expression and an opportunity to share our work with the community.”
Members who participate in the Art Walks receive multiple benefits: an opportunity to contact with the public, listing in an ArtWalk Brochure and posters, which are widely distributed in the Midcoast area; postings on the www.5raa.org web site and Five Rivers Arts Facebook as well as area e-newsletters and press releases. ArtWalks are also advertised in area newspapers.
Information is also available by calling 5RAA at 798-6964 Monday through Thursday from 10a.m. to 3 p.m.
